Nothing short of incredible!

It is obvious that books are my favorite and only source of comfort, and unfortunately and fortunately, I've relied on them a lot this past year. It has been rewarding for my Reading Challenge, but not so much in terms of personal life scenarios. LOL.

Regardless, 2025 is going to be all about 'mindful' reading. While I'll obviously continue to read my romance-based smutty books, I'll also try to read more non-fiction.

On that note, my first non-fiction of the year is 'India that is Bharat' by eminent lawyer and speaker J Sai Deepak. For fiction, I'm presently re-reading Iron Flame because we all know the third part drops January-end and I've got a 'I can't keep calm' state of mind about it.

As you all know, my Goodreads target for last year was 73, this year I've chosen the number 85, and I am absolutely excited to read beyond it.

But before we move forward with 2025, and resolutions, goals, and the new year enthused stress, I think it is vital to go through all the good that 2024 brought.

First on the list will obviously be, the star author of the year, Rebecca Yarros, and her incredible Empyrean series. It is not just that though, her other books are just as engaging. I'm definitely gonna explore more of her work this year.

Secondly, have to be grateful that Sarah J Mass dropped Crescent City book 3 and also announced that she is after all working on the much-awaited next part of ACOTAR. Probably gonna shit myself when it releases, maybe like 2 years later LOL.

Next has to be all the rom-com authors that truly made me believe in meet-cutes and heartfelt love when my life resembled a dry desert in that aspect, lovely women authors like Ali Hazelwood, Lana Ferguson, Mia Sheridan, and so many more. You hold a special place in my heart.

Also, cannot forget Lauren Roberts and the Powerless Trilogy because the banter and the anticipation have me by the throat y'all.

But you know what the absolute best thing about 2024 was?

It was THIS, creating and designing and actually launching, 'That Reading Enchantress'. My little corner on the Internet, of what I actually love the most! I know I haven't been the most consistent on it, and that kills me, but 2025 is gonna be phenomenal, in this regard and in many more aspects, I'll make sure of that.

It is difficult to tell just how much books mean to me..seems silly right? I'm reader, literally surrounded by words but unable to express!

Books are my respite from the dreariness of life, from the weight of expectations, and prying eyes of society, it is a reprieve that nobody can take away from me! And for that, I'll always be thankful.

Hi, I'm Pooja aka 'that reading enchantress. This page is my courageous attempt to carve a space for myself in this big fat world.

And yes, that is my hand holding the beautiful pendant of a book with a picture of books inside it.

Thankyou for being here, really.
