We love a woman who's a master of many trades, and Ali Hazelwood is the walking proof of that. I love Ali and her work so much that at this point I don't even remember how I stumbled upon her, but I like to believe that we readers don't actually find books to read, it is the books that find us when they want to be read. Somehow it does make sense, doesn't it?

Anyway, back to one of my instant-buy authors, Ali Hazelwood, her work is predominantly centered around women in STEM i.e. Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. Her books are simple in the way they are written, her #FMCs are strong women with academic excellence and strength of character, something that is so rare to find due to the overused #damselindistress theme.
Although, despite all the #fan status I claim today, I wasn't really much sold on Hazelwood's first book, The Love Hypothesis, I put reading it for more than 6 months even though it was garnering massive love on Instagram and TikTok then.
But good books come around, you read them and you fall in love with them, and life is never the same again.
However, Love on The Brain has to be the book that captivated me the most and that started this deep attachment to Hazelwood's work. It is just something else you know, maybe because it is so refreshing to see women killing it in their careers with their amazing nerdiness and worrying about real problems like food, etc instead of thinking about getting married or avoiding marriage, iykyk right? I mean I love them tropes but it is just way too repetitive right now and I'm tired of it..
Anyway, Hazelwood also has a bunch of novellas, the collection of which was an unwitting purchase for me at the airport but became my lovely companion on an exceptionally exhausting trip. The author also recently forayed into the world of paranormal romance with her book Bride, that was released in February this year.
Her latest release, Not in Love is the talk of the town, and by town I mean #bookstagram as Hazelwood grows bolder with each subsequent release, and mind you she doesn't skimp on the brainiac stuff as well.
Personally, I'm way too excited for the next scheduled book, called Deep End, promising a lot of spice with the cover itself. The book is a college romance with forbidden chemistry despite the rivalry. The book is set to be released in February 2025.
So are you ready to board the Ali Hazelwood train?
