Colour me surprised!

It is a habit of mine that if I like something, I get unbearably obsessed about it, there's no rationality to it, and to be honest, it is infuriating and has caused me great pain and anxiety at times, but the happiness derived makes it all worth it! Went too deep, didn't I? Hahaha.
On a much lighter note, Kindle Unlimited has been a lifesaver lately, I am having so much fun and while I do have many physical books to read and review, I find it harder to stop reading an actual book than the a kindle copy. Physical books suck me in like what Venus fly-trap does to a bee.

Over the past week, I finally read Phantasma by Kaylie Smith and I gotta say, it was definitely something else. I am certainly not a fan of the beginning, it is loosely tied and I could do with some more details of how our main couple came to be, but it was definitely a novel concept for me so no complaints. 💯
I also did a plunge and read Rebecca Yarros's latest 'Variation'. I've this thing where I don't read regular books of authors who've written romantasy's that I love, conflict of interest, you see. But my my, Variation called out to me so much intensity and I'm so happy that I heard that call. It was just beautiful, the power of love and devotion that transcends time and pain, it reaffirmed my faith in my love. Our male lead is Hudson is just fucking perfect. I love him.
And like y'all know, I am running ahead of my Goodreads Reading Challenge and there's still a month to go. Colour me freaking excited!
Till we meet again, Happy Reading!
